Access to classes and seminars for Association Management
Strong equine associations build a strong and sustainable horse community in Kentucky. Through both on-going education and experience, our member horse association leaders have access to gaining the knowledge and skills to build and maintain strong associations and clubs.
Financial Benefit: $10 paid to the association for each member who joins the KHC as an individual
Provided at least
three officers on your board of directors belongs to KHC you receive a $10 rebate for every one of your members who joins the KY Horse Council as an individual or family. This means that your Association Membership fee quickly is balanced by the return of funds, so that for most associations, the KHC membership is either free or in fact, they "make money" by belonging to the KHC.
Opportunities to network with other horse association leaders
Some of the best experiences leaders have is when they can "compare notes" with officers from other equine associations, sharing ideas and tips on solving problems or devising creative solutions for fundraising or volunteer engagement, etc. Through the KHC, you will have the opportunity to make those connections.
Be recognized as the "go-to" organizations for polling of opinions, assisting with getting information out across the state, and more.
Part of the job for all of us is to move Kentucky forward by informing each other across the state of opportunities, promoting each others' activities (shows, trail rides, competitions, meetings, scholarships, etc.) as well as representing the voice of the horse community to local and state policy makers. KHC uses our member equine associations as the go-to organizations to get all of this done.
