Kentucky Equine Disaster Relief

The Kentucky Horse Council, through financial support from individuals and companies both in Kentucky and around the country, manages the Kentucky Disaster Relief Fund.

This fund provides feed and other assistance to Kentucky horses affected by natural disasters and other incidents.  Assistance includes feed, temporary shelter and fencing, and other related needs. Donations to the fund can be made at any time and will be used accordingly.

We work with organizations such as county extension offices, emergency management teams, and veterinary clinics around the state of Kentucky to identify the needs of horses displaced by the floods, tornadoes, and other natural disasters. We do not deal directly with individuals for this fund, efforts must be coordinated by an entity in your county or area.

The U.S. Equine Disaster Relief Fund has been changed to the Kentucky Equine Disaster Relief Fund.  Funds donated to the U.S. portion have been donated by the Kentucky Horse Council to the United States Equestrian Federation's Equine Disaster Relief Fund.
