Thanks to all who joined us for the Trail Summit. We had some great speakers and a good time... looking forward to next year!
Each year, Kentucky trail riders gather to network, discuss, and learn more about
Kentucky's trails and the current issues we have.
This year, trail closures and threats of closures have been seen in many parts of the state.
On the positive side, we have seen the addition of one new private horse camp
and plans for two state horse camps, as well as many new horse trail projects.
But here in the "Horse Capital of the World", we are still years behind in trail development
compared to Indiana and Tennessee - and are missing significant income because of it.
JOIN TRAILRIDERS STATEWIDE to get Kentucky's beautiful trails protected and expanded.
TRAIL RIDING IS THE ONLY GROWING SEGMENT OF KENTUCKY'S HORSE INDUSTRY IN 2009.
In what building will the registration be on Friday night?
The Buffalo Trace Mounted Patrol Search and Rescue Team (MSAR )has GPS and topo map reading classes twice a year. I am sure we could incorporate such a class into a regular monthly county meeting.
Really wish the GPS class was still going. This is something a lot of riders could use. We bought a Garmin last year and have struggled with how to use it and how to get topo maps of Ky trails. Please try to include this type of class at your next summit. We would very much like to attend.
Yes, the GPS class has been cancelled due to hold the decision to hold the Trail Leaders Council meeting Sunday morning.
Are there any more details on the two separate tracks for Saturday? More specific discussion topics? I thought I had seen earlier a possible GPS class on Sunday? Has this been cancelled?
