Training Programs Large Animal Emergency Rescue The Kentucky Horse Council hosts a Large Animal Emergency Rescue course with the assistance of national training groups and local veterinarians. This course is open to veterinarians, emergency personnel, as well as all members of the equine industry. Priority is given to those who reside within the state of Kentucky; a waitlist of out-of-state attendees will be kept. This three day course is currently pending RACE Continuing Education credits. Courses include two options of participation, with extensive hands on activities and an auditor participant option. Livestock Investigation Training The Kentucky Horse Council provides Livestock Investigation Training to animal control officers, sheriffs, judge executives and other Kentucky law enforcement officials and prosecutors throughout the Commonwealth, as well as to veterinarians and veterinary technicians employed by the state.
